While his ex is beefing up security, Marcus Jordan is putting a period on a dramatic year. His whirlwind relationship with Larsa Pippen came to an end, his partying pictures raised alarms, he was arrested, and Pippen later revealed he had sent her threatening messages. Now Michael Jordan can put his viral saga behind him after resolving his legal issues.
TMZ reports the 35-year-old has satisfied the court mandates in his plea agreement for the 2025 arrest. The legal saga that saw Jordan facing charges of driving under the influence and drug possession is nearing its formal dismissal.
It stems from the incident in February 2025. Police body cam footage revealed officers following Marcus’ Lamborghini that veered off the lane and got stuck on train tracks. While Marcus and the woman were apparently unharmed, responding officers noted that he displayed visible signs of impairment. He also apparently had some kind of white powdery substance on him suspected to be ketamine.
But the most viral aspect of his arrest was him repeatedly shouting, “I’m Michael Jordan’s son.” He was released within hours of his arrest but facing DUI charges.

His lawyers negotiated an unconventional plea agreement and settlement to avoid trial. Among the rigorous terms, Jordan had to pay a $1,000 fine, perform 50 hours of community service, install an ignition interlock device on his vehicle, and undergo random drug-testing. All standard till you come to the big asterisk on this court order. Marcus was order to write a formal letter of apology to the responding officer for his conduct seen in the bodycam footage.
Unusual as it was, Marcus spent the entire year meeting every requirement. He even documented his sobriety milestones on social media. At one point he revealed that he nearly undid his progress after the loss of two idols, Ozzy Osborne and Hulk Hogan in July 2025.
With these conditions met, the charges are set to be vacated, marking the end of ayear-long legal distraction for the NBA scion.
On the flipside, the day Marcus closed this chapter, his ex was dealing with a couple of uncertainties.
Marcus Jordan’s legal win coincides with Larsa Pippen’s near-scare
Marcus’ partying ways no longer slipped under the radar then. Pictures emerged of him apparently using substances on a European trip. In season 7 of RHOM, those pictures would become a contentious point between Larsa and her co-star, Lisa Hochstein. She’d also reveal that Marcus used to send her threats of harming her family.
The exes’ lives completely divested after Marcus’ arrest and Larsa began dating Jeff Coby. But their (mis)fortunes still go parallel. While Marcus gets to celebrate a legal win and his sobriety milestone, Larsa has to protect her home.
Her new Miami home was the target of a failed break-in on March 29 when she was not home. The suspects were caught on security cameras failing to get inside. The house was already equipped with an advanced security system that averted a crisis and arrests were made. But she’s now adding armed security to her safety repertoire.
To add to her woes, her show, RHOM has been put on indefinite hold due to low ratings. Her relationship with Marcus was once the lightning rod for the Bravo series. But latest developments in Marcus and Larsa’s lives play out like the events of a reality series that never happened.
