Tiger Woods’ status at Augusta had been uncertain for months, but on March 27, with the Masters just 2 weeks away, on a Fox News broadcast, the world finally got an answer, thanks to Donald Trump.
U.S. President Donald Trump, speaking on The Five, confirmed that Woods will attend Augusta National but will not compete there. The clip, amplified by NUCLR Golf on X, drew 224,300 views within hours, ending months of speculation in a single sentence that did not originate from Woods or Augusta National.
Woods has not played a traditional tournament since the 2024 Open Championship. His TGL Finals appearance on March 25, where Jupiter Links lost 9–2 to Los Angeles Golf Club, confirmed he could be active. It did not confirm he was ready for Augusta.

Back surgery last fall. An Achilles rupture in March 2025. Woods himself said recovery brought good days and bad ones, with mobility still inconsistent.
He will be at Augusta. Just without a scorecard.
