The Indiana Fever’s championship aspirations just received a major boost, and the confirmation came not from a press release but from a TikTok video.
Indiana’s #10 is coming back to the Gainbridge Fieldhouse, with 26-year-old Lexie Hull announcing her return in a TikTok clip alongside Caitlin Clark. Lexie Hull became a restricted free agent this offseason as the Indiana Fever extended a core offer to star Kelsey Mitchell.

The 26-year-old had previously hinted at her wish to reunite with her Indiana Fever teammates for the upcoming season after a successful 2025-26 campaign. She has signed a multi-year deal with the Indiana-based franchise, extending her four-season stay after the Fever drafted Hull in 2022.
Caitlin and Hull share a unique bond off the court as well, while her on-court exploits are also well documented. In fact, it was Caitlin Clark’s pass to Lexie Hull that helped her break the WNBA rookie record. The duo became key starters in 2025 before Caitlin’s injury, and their defensive coverage enabled the Fever franchise to solidify its outside defense.
Lexie Hull averaged 27 minutes in the Fever rotation in 2025 and played a key role for Stephanie White, recording her best WNBA season yet. In fact, the 26-year-old increased her production across all aspects of the game, despite keeping her turnovers per game the same as previous seasons.
She took a step further in the playoffs after being handed a more prominent role in the rotation. Hull’s scoring average climbed to 10.3 points per game in the playoffs, while also picking up 5 rebounds per game.
When the Fever faced a deepening injury crisis, Hull stood tall and has now been rewarded with a new contract. Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston are still under their rookie deals, and Hull will reunite with the duo for the upcoming season.
Kelsey Mitchell has already signed a one-year supermax contract, which means the Fever core roster will look to mount a challenge for the WNBA Championship again this year.
Among the core stars, Sophie Cunningham is the only one yet to commit again to the Fever franchise. Indiana protected the 6 ft. 1 in. star in the Expansion Draft, and it will be interesting to see if the front office fulfills Sophie’s wish to return.
Lexie Hull admits to the ‘challenging’ reality of playing alongside Caitlin Clark
Lexie Hull arrived at Indiana in 2022 when the Fever faced a fate similar to what the Chicago Sky have been going through in the past couple of years. However, Indiana’s fortunes improved drastically after adding back-to-back first draft picks Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark.
The latter, though, has been a cut above the rest. And as Lexie Hull commits to extending her years alongside Clark, the 26-year-old is not shying away from the daunting prospect of matching up to the standards and quality that the Iowa Hawkeyes star exudes on the floor. The spotlight on Indiana also comes with added scrutiny, and that is often not an easy reality to adjust to.
“I think the most challenging part is there’s just so much scrutiny,” Hull admitted before adding, “People have opinions online, and unfortunately, that’s part of the job and the role that we play. We’re real people. I think when things get blown out of proportion, and when things get personal… that’s when it’s over the line.”
The lens is always bigger on Caitlin Clark, and as a result, others often get caught in the crosshairs. Speculation runs rife, and the media magnifies every little detail surrounding the 24-year-old, her teammates, and her team.
It isn’t always bad, though. The opponents’ focus on Caitlin Clark helped Hull get several open looks, with Clark’s rookie season coinciding with Hull’s best shooting performance from the three-point line, finding the basket 47.1% of the time in late 2024.
Despite the scrutiny, Lexie and Caitlin form two-thirds of the fabled ‘Tres Leches’ core at Indiana. In fact, Hull’s new contract confirmation featured her fellow guard in a TikTok clip as the two were visibly spending some time away from the court before the preseason.
