The Indiana Fever’s latest announcement has WNBA fans talking, and a single glimpse at their plans shows why. The team just unveiled what a $78 million investment looks like, and it’s poised to change the game.
As unveiled on their official X page, the Indiana Fever’s new performance center, with its 108,000 sq. ft. size, will be the WNBA’s largest and most advanced training facility. It will include light-filled dual practice courts equipped with data technology for performance tracking. It will also include recovery suites, hydrotherapy pools, a sauna, an elite weight room, dedicated spaces for yoga and Pilates, massage and treatment rooms, heat studios, and even a golf simulator, among other features.

The Indiana Fever shared a video rendering of the facility on their page, and it was beyond mind-blowing. In the words of Team President Kelly Krauskopf, “The video renderings bring their vision into focus.” And what a vision it is. Apart from all the key areas for practice, workout, and recovery, the facility will also include private mental health and wellness spaces, individual player studios designed for personal expression, preparation, and recovery, a podcast room and content production studio, and even an on-site salon for hair, nails, and makeup. And that’s not even all.

As Krauskopf puts it, every element of the facility was designed intentionally around the players. That is how they train, recover, connect, and live day to day. Indiana Fever center Aliyah Boston also confirms it. “Every aspect of our experience has been thought of,” she said. According to her, the players’ feedback and needs have been the top priority for this training center, and she’s grateful that the organization continues to invest in the Fever and set the standard for player care.
As for the timeline, the project kicked off on January 16, 2025. And as per the schedule, everything will reach completion before the 2027 WNBA season. Fans are definitely excited about this development and will be eagerly anticipating what’s to come. But maybe not as excited as Boston, which has already said it can’t wait to have this impressive building as their home next season.
WNBA Fans React After Indiana Fever Shared Glimpse of New $78M Performance Center
Fans have been buzzing since the Indiana Fever shared videos and images of the new performance center, and rightly so, because the facility is obviously a beauty. For one fan, however, the best part of it all is that “the Fever don’t have to share a facility with the Pacers any longer.” At the moment, the Indiana Fever uses a dedicated practice court and training area inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where both teams play their home games. But with the new performance center in place, they will now have a fully exclusive space of their own.
Some fans commenting on the facility have, however, shown interest in the golf simulator mentioned as part of the setup. With Caitlin Clark’s relationship with golf, they were even suggesting that the simulator was designed specifically for her. “That golf simulator was all CC for sure hahahahah,” one fan said. Another fan also chimed in, saying, “Built this to keep the GOAT happy forever
.”
Some fans have also shared their thoughts about certain aspects of the facility, expressing their admiration and even pointing out possible improvements. “These personal lockers are amazing!!!” one fan said. Another fan, who wasn’t quite pleased with the floor plan, also said, “This design look crazy, floor plan look average tbh.”
But regardless, this project is without doubt a significant step forward, not just for the Indiana Fever, but for women’s sports as a whole. As Kelly Krauskopf puts it, “This will set a new standard for women’s sports and continue to position Indianapolis at the center of that momentum.”
